Hamilton is surrounded by beautiful nature and scenery with numerous parks and scenic trails that include waterfront paths, lush forest valleys, and the Bruce Trail that winds along the edge of the Niagara Escarpment. It also holds the title of “Waterfall Capital of the World” for the 100+ waterfalls within city limits.

Getting Around

Getting to and around Hamilton is easy, regardless of transportation type. It is a cycling-friendly city with hundreds of bike trails and SoBi, a bike-sharing program.

Hamilton is located on multiple major highways including the 403, 407, QEW, and Highway 5, 6, & 8.

For those using public transportation Hamilton has a public transit agency, the Hamilton Street Railway (HSR), with routes that cover the city. GO Transit also operates both buses and trains that run to the city from across Southern Ontario.

The city is one hour from the US border and home to John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport.
